Slovakia expels 35 Russian diplomats accused of espionage

Prague, Mar 30 (EFE).- Slovakia on Wednesday announced it would expel a further 35 Russian diplomats suspected of espionage, foreign ministry spokesman Juraj Tomaga told Efe.

The Slovakian government, which earlier this month expelled three other Russian diplomats for alleged spying, is among a growing list of European countries that have taken similar measures.

In a coordinated move, Belgium, the Republic of Ireland, Italy and the Netherlands announced they would expel dozens of Russian diplomats accused of working for Russian intelligence.

Bratislava has issued over 50,000 humanitarian visas to Ukrainian refugees and facilitated the transit of 200,000 others traveling to the Czech Republic.
