Socially apart but united in matrimony: Malaysians marry despite COVID-19

Bangkok Desk, Apr 27 (efe-epa) Physically apart but spiritually united, Muslim couples celebrated their wedding ceremonies Monday amid social distancing measures that remain in force in Malaysia. Two of the newlyweds were husband Mohd Shahrul Nizam Razali, 23, and wife Nur Fatiha Ghazali, 22, and husband Mohamad Luhkman Md Saleh, 32, and wife Nor Suiadah Moh Shariff, 30. They participated in an Islamic marriage contract ceremony, which requires the attendance of two witnesses and a matchmaker in the city of Malacca. EFE-EPA
