UN: At least 3,309 civilians killed in Ukraine

Geneva, May 6 (EFE).- At least 3,309 civilians have died and 3,493 injured since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine on February 24, according to a United Nations report published Friday.

At least 234 of the victims are children while 330 minors have been injured during the war, the UN Human Rights Office said.

The majority of the civilian casualties were killed by the use of heavy explosive weapons including shelling from, the office added.

OHCHR estimates the actual figures are “considerably higher.” EFE
