China’s foreign trade increased 16.6 percent year-on-year in July

Shanghai, China, Aug 7 (EFE).- China’s foreign trade increased by 16.6 percent year-on-year in July, according to official data published Sunday by the General Administration of Customs.

Exports increased by 23.9 percent to 2.24 trillion yuan ($331.9 billion dollars, while imports rose by 7.4 percent to 1.56 trillion yuan.

Overall, China’s exchanges in goods and services with other countries totaled about 3.81 trillion yuan in the seventh month of the year.

China’s trade surplus in July amounted to 682.69 billion yuan.

The customs authorities underlined that the figures for July was 1.2 percent higher than the previous month, and the cumulative data so far this year has increased by 10.4 percent year-on-year. EFE
