Suns ride on Ayton’s final-second dunk to go 2-0 up against the Clippers

Phoenix, USA, Jun 22 (EFE).- Deandre Ayton dunked a loop pass from Jae Crowder 0.7 seconds from the final whistle to steal a 104-103 victory for the Phoenix Suns against the Los Angeles Clippers and go up 2-0 in the Western Conference finals on Tuesday.

The Suns’ attack was led by Cameron Payne who scored 29 points, while Ayton posted a double-double of 24 points and 14 rebounds, and Devin Booker contributed another 20 points.

For the Clippers, Paul George scored 26 points, Reggie Jackson sent down 19 points and Ivica Zubac finished with 14 points and 11 rebounds.

The third game of the best of seven finals will be played on Thursday at Los Angeles Staples Center, where the Clippers will look to rely on home advantage to overturn their fortunes.

This is the third time during this playoffs that the Los Angeles team faces a 0-2 deficit, after earlier overcoming a similar disadvantage against the Dallas Mavericks and the Utah Jazz. EFE
