Mexican Man Shot, Killed at Raleigh Shopping Center
MEMPHIS, TN (LPL/WREG) — Un hombre originario de Zacatecas, México, fue asesinado a tiros en un centro comercial de Raleigh.
El tiroteo ocurrió en las afueras de un centro comercial en la cuadra 3800 de Austin Peay Highway.
Según la policía, un hombre recibió un disparo y fue llevado al hospital en estado crítico. Más tarde murió de sus heridas.
El estacionamiento de Goodwill, así como los de Dollar Tree y Kroger en el área fueron acordonados mientras la policía investigaba la escena del crimen.
En un momento, los investigadores examinaron una camioneta blanca llena de agujeros de bala, así como una camioneta oscura con ventanas rotas. Se pudieron ver al menos 12 marcadores de evidencia del crimen.
La policía dice que ésta es una investigación de homicidio en curso. No han revelado el nombre de la víctima aún.
La policía está buscando a dos posibles sospechosos.
Los vecinos cerca del centro comercial dijeron que se están acostumbrando a escuchar disparos.
De acuerdo con un sobrino de la víctima, que viajó desde Iowa, el joven tenía esposa e hijos en el estado de Zacatecas, México.
El mismo sobrino tuvo que venir a identificar el cuerpo, ya que la víctima no tenía familiares en Memphis. Algunos viajaron desde Texas y no podrán saber qué fue lo que pasó realmente, hasta terminada la investigación.
El consulado mexicano ha estado ayudando a la familia con la logística del funeral.

MEMPHIS, TN (WREG) — A man from Zacatecas, Mexico, was shot and killed at a Raleigh shopping center.
The shooting happened outside a shopping center in the 3800 block of Austin Peay Highway.
According to police, one man was shot and taken to the hospital in critical condition. He later died from his injuries.
The parking lot for the Goodwill as well as the nearby Dollar Tree and Kroger were taped off as police investigated the scene.
At one point, investigators examined a white van full of bullet holes as well as a dark SUV with shattered windows. At least 12 evidence markers could be seen.
Police say that this is an ongoing homicide investigation. They have not released the name of the victim.
Police are looking for two possible suspects.
Neighbors near the shopping center said they are getting used to hearing gunfire.
According to a nephew of the victim, who traveled from Iowa, the young man had a wife and children in the state of Zacatecas, Mexico.
The same nephew had to come to identify the body, since the victim had no relatives in Memphis. Some traveled from Texas and have not yet been lucky to discover what really happened until the investigation was over.
The Mexican consulate has been helping with the logistics of the funeral to the family.
