Syrian man found dead on Polish side of Belarus border

Berlin, Nov 13 (EFE).- A young Syrian man was found dead in the wooded area of Poland along the border with Belarus, Polish police reported Saturday.

The man was found on Friday near Wolka Terechowska, a village in northeastern Poland.

The cause of death is still being investigated, police said in a Twitter statement.

So far, eleven people have been found dead in Belarus and Poland since thousands of migrants are trapped at the Belarus border with Poland.

Poland denounced on Friday the “instrumentalization” of the migration crisis by Minks to destabilize European borders.

Polish border guards said Belarus is forcing migrants to cross the border and using children to sensationalise guards.

On Tuesday this week, some 2,000 migrants were escorted to the border with Poland by Belarusian authorities.

Some 15,000 Polish guards have been sent to enforce the border and stop the migrants from crossing illegally into the EU.

Since, the migrants are enduring freezing weather conditions in hope to cross into the EU.

Belarusian disputed leader Alexander Lukashenko threatened to cut gas supply to Europe after the bloc said it was preparing a new package of sanctions on Belarus.
