Cazateatro to Hold Its Third Latin Fest in September
Cazateatro tendrá su tercer Festival Latino en septiembre

MEMPHIS, TN (LPL) — Cazateatro will be presenting its third “Latin Fest” on September 25, 2021. The big event, which had to be virtual last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, will take place from 12 PM to 6 PM at the Courtyard at Overton Square. Admission is totally free, and everyone is invited.
In this Annual Latin Fest, attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about the culture of the different Latin American countries. There will be everything from food to Latin music, as well as typical dances, activities for children, and much more, including special performances by Cazateatro, Ballet Memphis, Salsa Memphis, Opera Memphis, Tropical Fusion Latin Band, Las BomPleneras (from Chicago), Samba Fusion (from Nashville), Colombian Dancers, and Marimba Music (from the University of Memphis).
“This event is to educate people about the rich diversity in the Latin community,” said Dorimar Ferrer, Executive Director of Cazateatro. “The ‘Latin Fest 2021’ is a family-oriented Latin festival that provides a place to gather with family and friends to listen and dance to live Latin music and taste some Latin food and drinks as well. There will also be crafts for kids, vendors, and fun for everyone in an open social space. Come and celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with us.”
According to Ferrer, all the necessary preventative measures will be taken to slow the spread of the coronavirus. For this reason, the use of masks and social distancing are strongly recommended. There will also be several hand sanitizer stations available on-site.

El gran evento, que tuvo que ser virtual el año pasado debido a la pandemia del COVID-19, será de 12 PM a 6 PM en el Courtyard de Overton Square. La entrada es totalmente gratis y para el público en general.
En este Festival Latino Anual, los presentes tendrán la oportunidad de conocer un poco más de la cultura de los distintos países latinoamericanos. Habrá desde comida hasta música latina, así como bailes típicos, actividades para los niños y mucho más, incluyendo presentaciones especiales de Cazateatro, Ballet Memphis, Salsa Memphis, Ópera Memphis, Tropical Fusion Latin Band, Las BomPleneras (de Chicago), Samba Fusion (de Nashville), Colombian Dancers y Marimba Music (de la Universidad de Memphis).
“El evento se hace para educar a la gente sobre la rica diversidad que existe dentro de la comunidad latina”, dijo Dorimar Ferrer, directora ejecutiva de Cazateatro. “Es un festival latino, orientado a la familia, que ofrece un lugar para reunirse con familiares y amigos para escuchar y bailar música en vivo, así como para degustar comida y bebidas latinas. Además, tendremos manualidades para los niños, vendedores y diversión para todos en un espacio social abierto. Ven a celebrar el Mes de la Herencia Hispana con nosotros”.
De acuerdo con Ferrer, se estarán tomando todas las medidas necesarias para prevenir la propagación del coronavirus. Por lo mismo, se recomienda encarecidamente el uso de la mascarilla y el distanciamiento social. También habrá varias estaciones de gel desinfectante para manos.
