MEMPHIS, TN (ABC 24 News) — The Environmental Permits Office will move to the Health Department’s building at 814 Jefferson until Dec. 1, and the Shelby Crossing Clinic is closed for now.
If you had an appointment scheduled at the Shelby County Health Department’s facility on Sycamore View Road, it will need to be rescheduled.
The department said Tuesday afternoon that due to a gas leak, the facility, which houses the Shelby Crossing Public Health Clinic, is temporarily closed for repairs.
The Environmental Permits Office that provides and renews permits for restaurants, hotels, food stores, etc., will be moved to the Health Department’s building at 814 Jefferson from Thursday November 18, 2021 until Wednesday, December 1, 2021. Environmental Service permits will be issued and renewed at 814 Jefferson Avenue, 2nd Floor, Suite 203.
All environmental inspections, including inspections of restaurants, hotels, food stores and other permitted facilities will continue without interruption.
The Shelby Crossing Clinic will be closed until further notice.
All appointments for Family Planning and other clinic services will be scheduled at one of the Health Department’s other public health clinics. For appointments, call 901-222-9980.
