Given the recent political changes in Venezuela, the Association of Venezuelans in Tennessee is unifying efforts across the state and the region to help at home and abroad. Leaders from West, Middle, and East Tennessee are now part of the board of directors, thus all regions of the state are now represented. The next step is a grand networking event in Nashville to raise funds to obtain full 501(c) (3) status.

On March 17 at 11 a.m. at Casa Azafrán in Nashville, TN, a second gathering of Venezuelan leaders will take place. Each group will display information about the services they offer and their efforts towards helping Venezuela come out of the current crisis. The Andean-Caribbean nation has been under an authoritarian regime for 20 years now and Venezuelans are facing food and medicine shortages. At the event, there will be traditional food for sale and information for those who need assistance on how to establish themselves in the United States.
The Association of Venezuelans in Tennessee extends a cordial invitation to the whole community to participate in this event for those living in Tennessee and surrounding areas. Any contribution for those in need back home, for those trying to settle across the continent, and for the Venezuelan immigrants in the United States will be a great help. Even just your presence will serve as a motivation to leaders and to many who today are affected by the lack of stability due to the socio-political struggle in Venezuela.

Doors open at 10 a.m. for leaders and vendors.

A $100 suggested donation is set for those that will be presenting information.
