‘Blessed Dream’ to stream in over 240 countries on Oct 29

Buenos Aires, Oct 11 (EFE).- The biopic series on soccer legend Diego Maradona, which portrays his rise and fall throughout his life, will air on Oct.29.

Streaming platform Amazon Prime Video, in a statement Monday, said the series would stream in more than 240 countries.

Amazon has already premiered a trailer, announcing that the first chapter will air later this month, and the last one will be available on Nov.26.

“Maradona: Blessed Dream” traces the triumphs and challenges of the football legend, from his humble beginnings in Villa Fiorito in Argentina to his game-changing career through Barcelona and Napoli, and his role in taking his national team to win the World Cup in Mexico in 1986.

The character of Maradona will be portrayed out by three actors, depicting different stages of his life.

Nazareno Casero, Nicolas Goldschmidt, and Juan Palomino will don the character from his youth through adolescence to adulthood.

The roles of key people who accompanied Maradona throughout his life will be played by Julieta Cardinali and Laura Esquivel, who will personify the ex-wife Claudia Villafañe.

Mercedes Morán will play the role of Dalma Salvadora Franco, better known as “Doña Tota,” Maradona’s mother.

José María “Pepe” Monje will play the character of his father.

Peter Lanzani plays Jorge Cyterszpiler, the first representative of Maradona.

The series is produced by BTF Media, in co-production with Dhana Media and Latin We, recorded in locations in Argentina, Spain, Italy, Uruguay, and Mexico.

In 10 one-hour episodes, the series captures historic moments in the life and career of the controversial soccer star. EFE
