China’s foreign trade expands 6.9% YoY in October

Beijing, Nov 7 (EFE).- China’s yuan-denominated trade grew by 6.9 percent year-on-year in October, the General Administration of Customs said Monday.

Exports increased by 7 percent to 2.07 trillion yuan ($286.82 billion), slightly more than imports (6.8 percent), which stood at 1.48 trillion yuan

China’s international trade totaled about 3.55 trillion yuan in the tenth month of the year with a trade surplus of 586.81 billion yuan.

The Asian country’s international trade between January and October expanded by 9.5 percent compared to the same period in 2021, with exports posting a growth of 13 percent and imports of 5.2 percent.

Dollar-denominated trade fell by 0.4 percent year-on-year in October with exports declining by 0.3 percent and imports by 0.7 percent. EFE
