Lewandowski penalty gives Barcelona narrow win at Osasuna

Pamplona, Spain, Sep 3 (EFE).- Robert Lewandowski scored a late penalty as Barcelona took all three points from their visit to Pamplona in an even match in which Osasuna was the better team in the second half.

The Polish striker converted from 12 yards in the 84th minute.

The visitors’ possession stifled Osasuna during the first half until Jules Kounde scored the game’s opener in stoppage time.

Osasuna improved considerably after the break, taking the lead with constant dangerous plays that troubled Xavi’s team.

Chimy Ávila equalized with a spectacular left-footed shot from the edge of the area.

Everything seemed to be going well until Lewandowski scored the winner.

Alejandro Catena, initially given a yellow, was off with a straight red card after a VAR review. EFE
