Serie de exposiciones “Memphis 2024” de artistas locales y regionales en exhibición en Dixon Gallery and Gardens

MEMPHIS, TN (Dixon Gallery and Gardens) — Dixon Gallery and Gardens presents its biennial exhibition of local and regional artists in “Memphis 2024”. Showcasing the talents of 18 artists, this show celebrates Memphis’ cultural history and solidifies the city’s role as an art destination. The exhibition is on view in the Dixon’s main galleries April 21-June 30.

Organized in conjunction with the Memphis Flower Show, “Memphis 2024” includes more than 50 pieces from artists who choose to live, work and invest in the city. Among the featured artists are Lonnie Robinson, Kelly Cook and Nelson Gutierrez.

Originally from Bogota, Colombia, Gutierrez now lives and works in Memphis. His pieces are unlike any others in this series, involving projectors and sculptures on rotating motors. His thought-provoking pieces focus on migration and immigration. Examples of Gutierrez’s work can be seen throughout the community, notably in the mural “Memphis Upstanders” across from the National Civil Rights Museum.

“Made In Dixon” features artwork from more than 300 program participants of all ages, diverse cultural backgrounds and interests. These works, created during Dixon’s community programming initiatives, are on view in the Interactive Gallery April 13-June 2.

MEMPHIS, TN (LPL/Dixon Gallery and Gardens) — El Dixon Gallery and Gardens presenta su exposición bienal de artistas locales y regionales en “Memphis 2024”. Este espectáculo, que muestra los talentos de 18 artistas, celebra la historia cultural de Memphis y solidifica el papel de la ciudad como destino artístico.
