A Van Carrying Inmates from Nashville to Hardeman County has Overturned on I-40

HUMPHREYS COUNTY, TN (WKRN) — Multiple injuries have been reported after a van carrying inmates on Interstate 40 overturned in Humphreys County.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol says the van was traveling from Nashville en route to Hardeman County on I-40 westbound when it reportedly left the roadway and overturned near the Tennessee River.
The Humphreys County Sheriff’s Office says the driver lost control and flipped the van over a guardrail. A total of six inmates and two corrections officers were on board the bus.
The extent of the injuries is unknown at this time.
Air evacuation crews have been called in to help and the interstate will be closed for a long time, according to THP.

CONDADO DE HUMPHREYS, TN (LPL/WKRN) — Se han reportado múltiples heridos luego de que una camioneta que transportaba reclusos en la carretera interestatal 40 se volcó en el condado de Humphreys.
La Patrulla de Carreteras de Tennessee dice que la camioneta viajaba desde Nashville en ruta al condado de Hardeman por la I-40 en dirección oeste cuando, según los informes, se salió de la carretera y volcó cerca del río Tennessee.
La Oficina del Sheriff del Condado de Humphreys dice que el conductor perdió el control y volcó la camioneta sobre una barandilla. Un total de seis reclusos y dos oficiales penitenciarios estaban a bordo del autobús.
