Couple Shot At After Chasing Suspects Who Broke Into Their Car, Police Say

MEMPHIS, TN (FOX 13 News) — A couple was shot at after they chased the group of suspects who broke into their car at Target, police said.
On September 22, officers went to a call about an aggravated assault at a target on Poplar Avenue.
Police said that an officer was flagged down by a man who told them that he and his girlfriend had been shot at by an unknown man.
He also told police that the suspect was the passenger in a gray, two door Infiniti Q60 with Mississippi tags that read 1M55R.
The couple saw the Grey Infiniti parked next to their car when they walked out. They also saw their sunroof of the car was broken into.
When they tried to confront the suspects, the suspects sped off. The couple followed the Grey Infiniti out the poplar to Ridgeway Loop Road and Poplar, police said.
During the chase, one man in the Grey Infiniti leaned out the passenger window and fired about six shots at the couple. The man fired back shots with his own gun, and he finally flagged down the officer.
Another woman also reported to police that her car was struck by gunfire at Poplar and Ridgeway Loop, but she did not know where the gunfire came from.
