Sean Penn, daughter Dylan dazzle in black and white at Cannes

Cannes, France, July 11 (EFE).- Sean Penn and his daughter Dylan made many a head turn Saturday on the red carpet of the Cannes Festival, where they appeared coordinated, in black and white, for the screening of their film “Flag Day.”

Next to her father, in a traditional tuxedo, the young woman wore a striking black long-train miniskirt with a wide black and white belt.

Dylan walked the red carpet at Cannes five years ago when Sean Penn premiered his previous directorial venture “The Last Face.”

This time, the two play the protagonists of “Flag Day,” as father and daughter.

A proud Penn paraded and posed before the photographers with Dylan, 30, born from his marriage to Robin Wright.

The film premiered at the official competition of the 74th edition of the Cannes Film Festival.

They play a father and daughter who are very different from what they are in real life.

He is a small-time con man with big dreams, and she, a young woman who tries to move ahead in her life coming from a broken family.

Hopper, the second son of Sean Penn and Robin Wright, also appears in the film in a small role.

He accompanied his sister but was on the margins as she walked the red carpet.

Katheryn Winnick, who plays Penn’s wife in the film, and Addison Tymec and Beckam Crawford, who play younger brothers, were also present.

Oliver Stone and some jury members like Spike Lee -with a striking black and white suit- and Melanie Laurent, wearing a floral red, were also at the gala. EFE
