Vigil In Honor of Manuel Duran, Arrested A Year Ago
MEMPHIS, TN (LPL) — La organización Comunidades Unidas en una Voz está realizando una vigilia en honor al periodista Manuel Durán, arrestado hace un año en frente de la cárcel de la ciudad.
El miércoles, 3 de Abril, se cumple el aniversario del arresto durante una manifestación, en donde junto a 4 activistas Durán fue arrestado mientras reportaba el evento y posteriormente llevado por agentes federales del ICE a una facilidad lejos de Memphis.
La vigilia que se llevará a cabo en el estacionamiento del Mercadito de Memphis, el miércoles, 3 de abril a las 6 pm.
El Mercadito se localiza en 3766 Ridgeway Rd., Memphis, TN 38115.

MEMPHIS, TN (LPL) — The organization Comunidades Unidas en una Voz is leading a vigil in honor of journalist Manuel Duran, arrested a year ago in front of the city jail.
On Wednesday, April 3, the anniversary of the arrest is remembered during a demonstration, where along with 4 activists Duran was arrested while reporting the event and later taken by ICE agents to a federal facility away from Memphis.
The vigil that will be held in the parking lot of the El Mercadito, on Wednesday, April 3 at 6 pm.
The Mercadito is located at 3766 Ridgeway Rd., Memphis, TN 38115.
