MEMPHIS, TN (LPL) — La Alcaldía de Lakeland anunció el martes, 18 de septiembre del 2018, que la misma ciudad será el hogar de la nueva “Casa de Ensueño” del St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

La construcción está pautada para comenzar el 24 de octubre en Winstead Farms, en el lote número 8, ubicado en Adiago Lane.

“No será una casa común y corriente, más bien será como una casa modelo”, dijo Greg Bridgers, dueño de la constructora Southern Serenity Homes, la cual se ha encargado de construir todas las casas de ensueño para el St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway desde hace 11 años. “Nunca antes había visto a un municipio tan interesado en cooperar y ser parte de este programa como ustedes”, agregó Bridgers al expresar su agradecimiento con el alcalde Wyatt Bunker y los comisionados de Lakeland.

De acuerdo con Bridgers, la casa tendrá un valor de más de medio millón de dólares. Los planos y el diseño de la misma estarán disponibles en dos o tres semanas.

“La ‘Casa de Ensueño’ del St. Jude reúne a toda una comunidad”, indicó Doug Swink, de Renaissance Realty. “Es un programa que crea conciencia”.

Durante la reunión se presentó también un donativo del Ayuntamiento de Lakeland para el St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital por la cantidad de diez mil dólares.

Los boletos del sorteo -se espera vender un total de 14.500 boletos para este sorteo- podrán ser reservados por $100 a partir de la última semana del mes de marzo y el ganador será elegido el 23 de junio del 2019.

MEMPHIS, TN (LPL) — The new “St. Jude Dream Home” will be built in Lakeland, TN, according to the announcement made by Mayor Wyatt Bunker at the City Hall on Tuesday, September 18, 2018.

Ground-breaking is scheduled to take place on October 24 at Winstead Farms, in lot number 8 on Adiago Lane.

“It’s not a normal house. It’s more like a show house,” said Greg Bridgers, owner of Southern Serenity Homes, which has been in charge of building all the St. Jude Dream Homes for 11 years. “Never before have I had a municipality step up like you guys. You wrapped your arms around this… I can’t tell you how much we appreciate the reception,” he added.

According to Bridgers, the house will cost over one-half million dollars. The floor plan as well as the renderings of the house will be available in two or three weeks.

“The St. Jude Dream Home brings a community together,” said Doug Swink with Renaissance Realty. “The St. Jude Dream Home will bring awareness to the community and we want the community to embrace that.”

During the meeting at Lakeland City Hall, a donation was also presented to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in the amount of $10,000.

Tickets – 14,500 tickets are expected to be sold – for the St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway may be reserved for $100 as of the last week of March and the winner will be chosen on June 23, 2019.
