Kyiv mayor asks displaced residents not to return to capital yet
Kyiv, Apr 4 (EFE).- Kyiv’s mayor Vitali Klitschko on Monday advised citizens who fled the Ukrainian capital due to Russian aggression to not return until the situation stabilizes.
“If you can do it, postpone your return for a few days,” Klitschko said in a message according to the Ukraine’s daily Pravda.
Despite the capital’s good anti-aircraft defenses, missile attacks on Kyiv cannot yet be ruled out, he added.
Klitschko on Sunday described the alleged massacres of several hundred civilians that occurred in the neighboring town of Bucha a “genocide”.
Several hundred civilians have been found dead in the streets of Bucha, some of them were handcuffed, as international media reporters on the ground have documented.
The Kremlin has categorically rejected its soldiers’ participation in these alleged massacres. EFE
