Benzema extends Real Madrid contract until 2023

Madrid, Aug 20 (EFE).- Karim Benzema has extended his contract with Real Madrid for the next two seasons, the club announced Friday.

The Frenchman has been indispensable in Real Madrid’s attack following the 2018 departure of Cristiano Ronaldo.

In the last three seasons he has been LaLiga’s second-top goal scorer behind former Barcelona star Lionel Messi, who this summer left for Paris Saint-Germain.

Last year, Benzema bagged 23 league goals.

The extension keeps him in Madrid until June 2023. EFE
