¿Qué nos ha enseñado la cultura sobre la responsabilidad? Todas las tradiciones culturales tienen en común que se han formado por el trabajo de más de una persona a largo plazo. La cultura es un camino que se va forjando con la contribución y los esfuerzos de personas comprometidas en construir un legado que perdure por generaciones. No se puede vivir solamente a ver qué pasa con el día presente, se debe programar e invertir en bases que sirvan para que futuras generaciones continúen sobre la misma línea cultural.
Solamente con el orden y la seriedad se logrará dejar una herencia. Un vivo ejemplo son las riquezas que los Incas dejaron, no solamente en riquezas enterradas, pero también con la religión, el respeto a la tierra, las formas de cultivar y el innovar con los productos locales. Hoy en día existe toda una industria del turismo alrededor de dichas tradiciones, pero además hay un legado que los jóvenes siguen con orgullo y un tesoro nacional para la eternidad de Perú. Ni Machu Picchu ni las otras majestuosas ruinas se construyeron de un día para otro; es una cultura de centenares de años la cual existe porque sus agentes culturales se comprometieron a construirla y a seguir preservándola.
En la Filantropía de Cultura sostenemos que los valores culturales sirven de motor para la prosperidad y a la ingeniería de soluciones en la sociedad que sin ella no serían posibles de generar. Para llevar hacia adelante cualquier proyecto cultural debemos invertir a largo plazo y asociarnos con compañeros culturales que compartan la misma pasión e intención de obrar con orden y responsabilidad.

What have we learned from culture about being responsible? All cultural traditions have in common that they have been formed by the efforts of more than one person for a long time. Culture is a path that is forged with the contribution of people committed to building a legacy that will last for generations. You cannot live only in the present, you must plan ahead and invest in the foundation that will allow future generations continue along the same line.
Only with planning and being responsible will it be possible to leave a solid heritage. A living example is the riches that the Incas left behind, not only in buried treasures, but also with religion, respect for the land, ways of growing crops and innovating with local products. Today there is a whole industry of tourism around these traditions, but there is also a legacy that young people follow with pride and a national treasure for the eternity of Peru. Neither Machu Picchu nor the other majestic ruins were built in one day; it is a whole culture of hundreds of years which exists because its cultural agents are committed to building and preserving it.
In Cultural Philanthropy, we value cultural traditions as an engine for prosperity and the engineering of solutions in society; not possible to generate without a cultural heritage. To carry forward any cultural project, we must invest in the long term and associate ourselves with cultural partners who share the same passion and intentions to act with order and responsibility.
