Man United sign Antony after reaching agreement with Ajax

Sports Desk, Aug 30 (EFE).- Manchester United announced Tuesday that they have penned a deal with Ajax for the transfer of Brazilian winger Antony for an initial 95 million euros.

“Manchester United has reached an agreement with Ajax for the transfer of Antony, subject to a medical, player terms being finalized, and international clearance,” the Premier League giants confirmed in a statement on their website.

Ajax said that “including add-ons, the fee could rise until € 100 million.”

Antony, who previously played for Sao Paulo, has 47 goals for Ajax in all competitions, as well as two goals and two assists in nine international appearances for Brazil.

With Ajax, Antony, 22, won two consecutive Dutch Eredivisie titles, as well as the gold medal with Brazil during the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.

Antony’s transfer came just a few days after compatriot Casemiro debuted for the Red Devils following a move from Real Madrid. EFE
