Community Activists Launch Holiday Toy Drive in Memphis
Activistas comunitarios inician recaudación navideña de juguetes en Memphis

MEMPHIS, TN (LPL) — Two well-known activists from Memphis started a toy drive a few weeks ago for this holiday season.
In order to bring Christmas joy and hope, Nena Garza and José Salazar are asking the community for their help in collecting enough toys for the children of Memphis.
Garza and Salazar are achieving this noble cause thanks to the participation of Shelby County residents and local businesses, who do not hesitate to contribute either with toys or monetary funds to buy them.
Both Garza and Salazar have participated in other community activities in the past. They have also organized events to fight for the rights of immigrants in this city.

MEMPHIS, TN (LPL) — Dos conocidos activistas de Memphis iniciaron desde hace unas semanas una recaudación de juguetes para esta temporada de fiestas decembrinas.
Con el fin de llevar alegría y esperanza navideña, Nena Garza y José Salazar están pidiéndole a la comunidad su ayuda para poder juntar suficientes juguetes con el fin de repartirlos entre los niños de Memphis.
A través de las redes sociales locales, Garza y Salazar están logrando esta noble causa gracias a la participación de los residentes del condado de Shelby y también de los negocios locales, que no dudan en aportar ya sea con juguetes o con fondos monetarios para comprarlos.
Tanto Garza como Salazar han participado en otras actividades comunitarias en el pasado, y no sólo eso, ya que también han organizado eventos donde se lucha por los derechos de los inmigrantes en esta ciudad.
