MEMPHIS, TN (LPL) — Originaria de Veracruz, México, la artista María del Rosario Lagunes S. da crédito a su talento a “la mano de Dios” y al hecho de que su padre sea un artista pictórico también.
En sus pinturas entrelazadas entre lo clásico y lo rural, Charo Lagunes, como es conocida por sus familiares y amigos, evoca la vida campirana en México, desarrollado con mucha práctica y aprendizaje de técnicas.
Lagunes también da clases de repostería, muy de la mano de las clases de pintura artística, aplicando así su conocimiento en la enseñanza del dibujo, uso del óleo, acrílico y la sutil acuarela a las artes culinarias.
En su portafolio tiene más de 130 pinturas, desde que comenzó en 1999.
Una de las cosas que no se escapa de la lista de intereses que la talentosa Charo lleva a cabo aquí en Memphis es la práctica del motociclismo, algo que gusta realizar junto a personas de un club afín de ese deporte.
Cuando le preguntamos qué recomienda a los nuevos artistas, ella nos dijo:
“Que aprecien las satisfacciones que te deja cada obra; que se sientan privilegiados de que hay un lienzo, una madera, un simple papel donde puedes plasmar y proyectar parte de ti. Que este bello talento que tienes, e inicias, es como una flecha en tus manos: tú sabes a dónde lo diriges y hasta dónde deseas que llegue”.

MEMPHIS, TN (LPL) — Born in Veracruz, Mexico, artist María del Rosario Lagunes S. credits her talent to “the hand of God” and the fact that her father is an artist as well.
In her paintings intertwined between the classic and the rural activities, Charo Lagunes, as she is known by her family and friends, evokes country life in Mexico, developed with lots of practice and techniques.
Lagunes also teaches confectionery classes, along with painting classes, thus applying her knowledge in the teaching of drawing, use of oil, acrylic, and subtle watercolors to the culinary arts.
In her portfolio she has more than 130 paintings since she started in 1999.
One of the things that does not escape the list of interests that the talented Charo carries out here in Memphis is the practice of motorcycling, something that she likes to do together with people from a club related to that sport.
When asked what she recommends to the new artists, she said:
“Appreciate the satisfaction that each artwork can give you; feel privileged that there is a canvas, a piece of wood, a simple piece of paper where you can capture and project part of yourself. That this beautiful talent that you have, and start, is like an arrow in your hands: you know where to direct it and how far you want it to go”.
