MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) — Tennessee health officials have announced 98 confirmed cases of coronavirus in the state, including ten in Shelby County. Shelby County Health Department Director Alisa Haushalter announced the latest case Wednesday at the county commission meeting. According to the Tennessee Department of Health, there are currently 58 confirmed cases in Davidson County and another 24 in Williamson County. Knox and Sumner counties have two cases each, and the following counties each have one: Campbell, Cheatham, Hamilton, Jefferson, Robertson, Rutherford, Sevier and Sullivan. The majority of cases are among people in the 18 to 49 age group. There are 29 people with coronavirus who are 50 or older.
