At least 2 killed, 60 feared dead after Russians hit school in Luhansk region

Kyiv, May 8 (EFE).- At least two people have been killed and 60 others are feared dead after a Russian attack on a school in the embattled eastern Ukrainian region of Luhansk, Ukrainian authorities said Sunday.

“Probably all 60 people who are still under the rubble of the building are dead,” the region’s governor Serhiy Haidai said in a Telegram post.

Up to 90 people were taking shelter in the school in Bilohorivka village. The bombing caused several fires to break out in the building before it collapsed.

Emergency services managed to rescue 30 people.EFE
