Six killed, several injured as Russians hit Ukraine with missiles

Kyiv, Mar 14 (EFE).- At least six people have been killed and several others injured in Ukraine in recent hours after the Russian military fired missiles across several cities, official sources reported on Tuesday.

A civilian died and three others were wounded amid strikes in the city of Kramatorsk, just 50 kilometers from the ravaged eastern Ukrainian city of Bakhmut, regional governor Pavlo Kyrylenko said.

Six high-rise buildings there were also damaged, according to local media.

Kyrylenko claimed earlier that Russian attacks had killed three civilians and injured 14 others in different areas in the Donetsk region.

“Russia hit 12 settlements in the region, damaging more than 30 houses, four high-rises, industrial enterprises, and an administrative building,” Kyrylenko pointed out.

Russians have also bombed the partially occupied southern city of Kherson 93 times in the past 24 hours, leaving one person dead and six wounded, the regional military administration said.

It added that a total of 412 shells were from mortars, multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS), artillery, tanks, and drones.

In Kharkiv, northeastern Ukraine, six settlements, at least four houses, a State Emergency Service building and its vehicles were struck, regional governor Oleh Syniehubov reported.

Mortars, artillery, missiles and drones were used on six communities in the Sumy region bordering Russia, the military administration there said.

Another civilian died and four were wounded after Russian shelling on the village of Znob-Novhorodske in Sumy.EFE
