Ukraine launches 14 airstrikes on areas with high Russian presence

Kyiv, Jun 18 (EFE).- The Ukrainian forces launched 14 airstrikes in the last 24 hours against areas with a concentration of Russian troops, according to state-owned Ukrinform agency.

“Over the last 24 hours, (Ukrainian) rocket and artillery units hit three command posts, two personnel concentration areas, five ammunition depots, and three artillery units in firing positions,” the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said.

Meanwhile, during the same period, Russia carried out 43 airstrikes and four with missiles, and opened fire from multiple rocket launch systems on 51 occasions against positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas, the military said.

The probability of missile and air strikes across Ukraine remains high, Ukrinform stressed.

Moreover, it added that the Russian forces were concentrating their main efforts on the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Marinka areas, with 26 clashes recorded there over the last 24 hours.

On the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson fronts, Russian forces were still conducting defensive operations, it said. EFE
