UN is ‘one of the weapons in the arsenal of modern Nazis’ against Israel, says ambassador

United Nations, Jan 26 (EFE).- Israel’s ambassador to the UN, Gilad Erdan, accused the UN of being “one of the weapons in the arsenal of modern day Nazis against us,” during his speech at the UN ceremony marking International Holocaust Remembrance Day on Friday.

Wearing a big yellow star on his lapel – like the one imposed on Jews in Nazi Germany – Erdan was the main speaker at the UN ceremony. Erdan compared the Holocaust to Hamas’s Oct. 7 attack on Israel, stressing the “genocidal” nature of this assault on Jewish people, while reserving his harshest remarks for the UN itself.

“To this day no UN Institution has condemned the Oct. 7 massacre,” according to Erdan. However, Antonio Guterres issued a statement on the very same day of the attack against the actions of Hamas.

He went on to refer to the International Court of Justice in The Hague, which on Friday ordered Israel to prevent genocide in Gaza.

“Even the International Court of Justice, justice for heaven’s sake, did not see it morally fitting to condemn Hamas barbarian massacre against our children and people, this silence is unfathomable,” he said.

Erdan also pointed out that it was revealed that some employees of the UN Agency for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA) were involved in the Oct. 7 attacks, and a high-level UN investigation had started.

“The UN is not only weaponized to delegitimize our existence but also to physically exterminate us,” stressed Ambassador Erdan, who for months has used every speech he has made to discredit the work of the UN regarding the conflict Hamas-Israel conflict.

“We can only draw one conclusion: the UN has failed in its mission,” he concluded in front of the organization. EFE
