Eriksen joins Manchester United

Sports Desk, Jul 15 (EFE).- Christian Eriksen has officially joined Manchester United, the Premier League club said in a statement Friday.

The Denmark international signed until 2025, the statement added.

“Manchester United is a special club, and I cannot wait to get started. I have had the privilege of playing at Old Trafford many times but to do it in the red shirt of United will be an amazing feeling,” the midfielder said.

He complimented his new head coach, Erik ten Hag, describing him as “fantastic.”

“Having spoken with him and learned more about his vision and the way he wants the team to play, I am even more excited for the future. I still have major ambitions in the game, there is a huge amount that I know I can achieve, and this is the perfect place to continue my journey.”

Eriksen spent the second half of the 2021/22 season with London side Brentford in what marked an astonishing comeback after suffering a cardiac arrest on the pitch during Denmark’s Euro 2020 game against Finland on June 12, 2021.

The 30-year-old has previously played for Inter Milan, Tottenham Hotspur and Ajax. EFE
