Visitas universitarias durante las vacaciones de primavera

Spring Break College Visits

ENGLISH:

When people plan their spring break, most think of spending time on the beach, playing videogames, or just plain relaxing. Most people aren’t too intent on spending time thinking about school. However, spring break can be a perfect time to do some thinking and plan ahead for college.

Even taking a day or two just to reorganize your college list or visit a school can be beneficial in the long run. Recently, on a family trip to St. Louis, I stopped in at Wash U for a short information session, tour, and to sit in on a class. It isn’t hard to fit in a visit to a nearby school during a vacation. This latest visit, like any other, really helped me get a feel for the college environment and what I need to do to get ready for these upcoming years. Though you may not plan on attending every school you visit, you learn something from every tour. Even if you end up disliking the school you tour, those visits are often the ones where you learn the most about yourself and the type of school you’re looking for.

Spring break is a time to relax and prepare for the final push towards the end of the school year, but it’s never a bad idea to take a day or two to stay on track for your future.
