WHO issues Moderna vaccine dosage recommendations

Geneva, Jan 26 (efe-epa).- The World Health Organization’s advisory panel of experts (Sage) on Tuesday issued interim recommendations for the use of the Moderna Covid-19 vaccine.

The WHO’s Sage group said the jab should be administered in two doses 28 days apart but that the interval could be extended to 42 days if necessary.

“Compliance with the full schedule is recommended and the same product should be used for both doses,” the WHO said in a statement.

The European Union approved the Moderna vaccine on 6 January. EFE-EPA
