MEMPHIS, TN (LPL) — The holidays are fast approaching and, in less than a week, we will be celebrating Thanksgiving. However, we know that we are in the middle of a deadly pandemic and, as such, we must take all necessary precautions not to get sick from COVID-19 or infect others, in case we have the symptoms of the disease. Therefore, please remember to wear your mask, wash your hands, and practice social distancing so that we can all enjoy this Christmas season safely and without losing a loved one to COVID-19.
Having said that, we bring you a list of the main activities that will be taking place in Memphis:

CHRISTMAS AT GRACELAND: November 19, 2020 – January 8, 2021
Enjoy Christmas at Graceland exactly as the king did. Graceland will be celebrating Christmas from November 19, 2020 to January 8, 2021. Additionally, this year Graceland will be offering special guided Christmas tours throughout the Mansion from December 1 to December 20, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets for the Graceland Christmas Tours are $73 for adults and $42 for children.

SUNTRUST ZOO LIGHTS: November 20, 2020 – January 3, 2021
Take the whole family to the Memphis Zoo at night to greet Santa Claus, appreciate the wide variety of Christmas lights and ornaments, and see some of the animals. Horse-drawn carriage rides with hot chocolate are also available for $10 per person. In addition, the Christmas tree lighting ceremony at the zoo will take place on Friday, November 20, at 5:30 p.m.
It should be noted that the “SunTrust Zoo Lights” has become an annual tradition for Memphis families. It has been recognized nationally for being among the top ten Christmas light exhibitions held in a zoo as well, according to USA Today.

ENCHANTED FOREST AT PINK PALACE MUSEUM: November 21, 2020 – December 31, 2020
You can’t miss the Enchanted Forest Festival at the Pink Palace Museum. Being a Christmas tradition of Memphis, the Enchanted Forest is full of animated characters, train models, and dozens of beautifully decorated trees. Photos with Santa will also be available (packages from $10 to $60). All proceeds benefit Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital.

STARRY NIGHTS: November 27, 2020 – January 3, 2021
Shelby Farms Park is once again presenting its famous “Starry Nights” event, the largest holiday light show and festival in the city.

HOLIDAY WONDERS AT THE GARDEN: November 27, 2020 – December 27, 2020 (Select Nights)
This year’s Christmas celebration at the Memphis Botanical Garden is bigger and brighter than ever, with four different attractions in one place: Snowy Nights, Under the Stars Outdoor Lounge, Yuletide Yard, and Northern Lights. On select nights, Community Cultural Partners will offer live entertainment. There will also be other special events including “Santa Sunday,” “Family Night,” and “Santa Paws.”

12 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS WITH CAZATEATRO: December 1, 2020 – December 12, 2020
Being an event inspired by the famous Christmas story, “The Twelve Days of Christmas,” Cazateatro will be bringing the Christmas tradition with bilingual carols and a lot of Latin flavor to different neighborhoods around Memphis for 12 consecutive days.

Sin embargo, sabemos que estamos en medio de una pandemia mortal y, como tal, debemos tomar todas las precauciones necesarias para no enfermarnos de COVID-19 ni contagiar a otros, en caso de que tengamos los síntomas propios de la enfermedad. Así que, por favor, recuerda usar la mascarilla, lavarte las manos con frecuencia y practicar el distanciamiento social, de manera que todos podamos disfrutar de una temporada navideña segura y sin perder a más seres queridos por culpa del COVID-19.

Disfruta de la Navidad en Graceland exactamente como lo hizo Elvis Presley. Graceland estará celebrando la Navidad desde el 19 de noviembre del 2020 hasta el 8 de enero del 2021. Además, este año Graceland estará ofreciendo tours especiales de Navidad con guía por la Mansión del 1 al 20 de diciembre, de 2 p.m. a 4 p.m. Las entradas para los llamados Graceland Christmas Tours cuestan $73 para adultos y $42 para niños (los niños menores de 4 años entran gratis).

No te puedes perder el Festival del Bosque Encantado en el Pink Palace Museum. Siendo una tradición navideña de Memphis, el Bosque Encantado está lleno de encantadores personajes animados, maquetas de trenes y decenas de árboles hermosamente decorados. También habrá sesiones de fotos con Santa (paquetes disponibles de $10 a $60).
Este evento sirve de recaudación de fondos para el LeBonheur Children’s Hospital.

El Parque de Shelby Farms vuelve a presentar este año su famoso evento de “Starry Nights” o “Noche de Estrellas”, con más luces y exhibiciones nuevas, incluyendo las favoritas de siempre para celebrar la Navidad. El espectáculo de más de 2 millones de luces LED (bombillos de bajo consumo) hace que el festival navideño de Shelby Farms Park sea el más grande del Medio Sur, atrayendo anualmente a más de cien mil personas.
