Madonna ‘feeling good’ after hospitalization, actress and friend Rosie O’Donnell says

New York, Jun 29 (EFE).- Pop music icon Madonna is “feeling good” after having been hospitalized in New York City with a serious bacterial infection, her longtime friend, American comedian and actress Rosie O’Donnell, said Thursday in a brief message on Instagram.

O’Donnell, who did not offer more details, accompanied the message with an old photo that shows her doing a yoga pose alongside the 64-year-old recording artist, who postponed her upcoming “Celebration” tour due to the illness and subsequent hospitalization.

Page Six magazine, for its part, confirmed Thursday that Madonna had been released from the hospital and was at her residence in the Upper East Side of Manhattan.

Madonna’s health problems began five days ago.

“On Saturday, June 24, Madonna developed a serious bacterial infection which led to a several day stay in the ICU. Her health is improving, however she is still under medical care. A full recovery is expected,” her manager, Guy Oseary, said in a statement Wednesday on his Instagram account.

“At this time we will need to pause all commitments, which includes the tour. We will share more details with you soon as we have them, including a new start date for the tour and for rescheduled shows.”

The Queen of Pop had been scheduled to begin her tour on July 15 in Vancouver, Canada. EFE
