MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) — Reportedly, five people have died due to the cold temperatures in the Shelby County area.
The Tennessee Department of Health confirmed that five deaths in Shelby County have been linked to the harsh weather conditions.
There have been 14 weather-related deaths in the state of Tennessee.
Warming centers are still open and available to those in need of a warm place to stay during the winter storms.
Most warming centers are gender-separated for safety purposes.
