Dembele forced to withdraw from Euro 2020 with knee injury

Paris, Jun 21 (EFE).- France forward Ousmane Dembele will miss the remainder of Euro 2020 after a knee injury during France’s game against Hungary on Saturday.

After undergoing scans at a hospital in Budapest Sunday, France confirmed the FC Barcelona forward would not recover from the injury before the final on July 11.

The decision was made between medical staff at both France and Barcelona, where he plies his club trade.

The 24-year old has had a series of injuries since joining Barcelona in 2017, making it difficult for him to flourish at the Catalan club. EFE
