Duchess of Cornwall tests positive for coronavirus

London, Feb 14 (EFE).- The Duchess of Cornwall has tested positive for coronavirus and is self-isolating, her official residence, Clarence House, announced Monday.

Camilla, 74, tested positive for Covid-19 a few days after her husband Charles, the Prince of Wales, who has been isolating since Thursday last week.

The Duchess had tested negative on Thursday and went on to carry out three public engagements on the same day.

Prince Charles had met with his mother, Queen Elizabeh, just two days before testing positive but a royal source said the Queen was showing no symptoms.

Meanwhile, Camilla has received the full course of the Covid-19 vaccine as well as the booster shot and will follow government guidelines, Clarence House added.

It is the first time the Duchess of Cornwall has tested positive for Covid-19 while it was the second time for Prince Charles. EFE
