Kevin Spacey to appear in UK court on sexual assault allegations

London, Jun 13 (EFE).- US actor Kevin Spacey will appear before a London court this week to face four charges of sexual assault, Scotland Yard announced Monday.

Spacey, who denies the accusations, said in a statement on May 31 that he would attend court on Thursday voluntarily.

Spacey is charged with four counts of sexual assault against three men in the UK between 2005 and 2013, the Crown Prosecution Service said.

One complainant has accused Spacey of sexual assault dating to 2005 in London, while a second has accused the actor of sexual assault dating to 2008 as well as causing a person to engage in penetrative sexual activity without consent.

The third sexual assault allegedly took place in Gloucestershire in 2013.

Spacey resided in London for several years after taking on the job of artistic director at The Old Vic theater.

Former House of Cards star Spacey has faced a number of sexual assault cases in the UK and the United States. EFE
