Los Solitarios Lead Singer Agustin Villegas Died

The music mourning after relatives of Agustín Villegas confirmed his death.

The member of the group “Los Solitarios” died due to cardio-respiratory arrest at his home in Tijuana at the age of 79.

It was through a statement on social networks that the relatives of the member of “Los Solitarios” released the unfortunate news.

Villegas was recognized for giving voice to hits like “Sufrir”, “Pero nunca me digas”, “Mi amor es para ti” and “No debes llorar”.”.

In the 70’s and 80’s, Villegas was awarded prizes such as “The Golden Microphone”, “The Golden Strawberry”, “The Herald” Award, as well as a tribute from the governments of Tijuana and Baja California.

For 2008 the Society of Authors and Composers of Mexico (SACM) gave him recognition for his career of more than 25 years of artistic career.

It should be noted that the group “Los Solitarios” remained active until a few months before Covid-19 arrived in the country.

La música se viste de luto luego de que familiares de Agustín Villegas confirmaron su fallecimiento.

El integrante de la agrupación “Los Solitarios” murió debido a un paro cardio-respiratorio en su domicilio de Tijuana a los 79 años de edad.

Fue por medio de un comunicado en redes sociales que los familiares del integrante de “Los Solitarios” dieron a conocer la lamentable noticia.

Villegas era reconocido por darle voz a éxitos como “Sufrir”, “Pero nunca me digas”, “Mi amor es para ti” y “No debes llorar”.

En los años 70s y 80s Villegas  fue galardonado con premios como “El Micrófono de Oro”, “La Fresa de Oro”, Premio “El Heraldo”, así como un homenaje de los gobiernos de Tijuana y Baja California.

Para el año 2008 la Sociedad de Autores y Compositores de México (SACM) le brindó un reconocimiento por su trayectoria de más 25  años de carrera artística.

Cabe señalar que el grupo “Los Solitarios” se mantuvo activo hasta unos meses antes de que el Covid-19 llegara al país.
