Local Cinematographer Presents “My Side of The Story”

MEMPHIS, TN (LPL) — Memphis filmmaker Angela Phillips Smith presented her film “My Side of The Story” at Malco at the Square on Tuesday, June 13.

Set in our city, the film is based on the tragic relationship of a couple from Memphis that gradually becomes more complicated until it falls into the absurd. It was written and produced by Phillips Smith as well.

Featuring local actors like Cortez Maxwell, Tomeka Petty, O.J. Morris, Bryan Bernard, Crystal Harris, Frederick Hurt, and Cynthia Rodgers, among others, the story reflects the reality that exists in various areas of our city.

The screening of the film also featured a question-and-answer session with the participating actors.

The music in the film was produced by local artists.

MEMPHIS, TN (LPL) — Ángela Phillips Smith, directora de cine de Memphis, presentó su película “My Side of The Story” en el Malco at the Square el martes, 13 de junio.

Ambientada en nuestra ciudad, la película se basa en la relación trágica de una pareja de Memphis que se va complicando poco a poco hasta caer en lo absurdo. Fue escrita y producida por Phillips Smith también.

Con los talentos locales de Cortez Maxwell, Tomeka Petty, O.J. Morris, Bryan Bernard, Crystal Harris, Frederick Hurt, Cynthia Rodgers y otros actores de Memphis, la historia refleja de forma un tanto cruda la realidad que se vive en varias áreas de nuestra ciudad.

La proyección de la película contó con una sesión de preguntas y respuestas con los actores participantes.
