Skopje, North Macedonia, Apr 7 (EFE).- The zoo in Skopje is experiencing a ‘baby boom’ after more than 30 different species gave birth in recent weeks.
Among the newborns are three white lions, a lemur, a sheep, a zebu, a monkey, a gibbon, a camel and a kangaroo.
It had been over 20 years since the birth of a white lion at the Skopje Zoo, local media reported.
The lion cubs were born on Thursday from Mother Bella, who arrived in Skopje from Germany. Their father is from France.
In honor of the rare event, Skopje mayor Danela Arsovska visited the zoo, according to local media.
Visitors will be able to visit the cubs once they will be ready to roam outdoors. EFE
