Unal leads Getafe to stun Real Madrid 1-0

Sports Desk, Jan 2 (EFE).- An early goal from Enes Unal led Getafe to stun cross-city visitors Real Madrid 1-0 on Sunday.

The Turkish forward pressed on Eder Militão to steal the ball on the verge of the penalty area and fired it home just nine minutes into the game

This, alongside compact defending and solid goal-keeping from David Soria, was enough for Getafe to claim only their fourth win of the season, which brings their tally to 18 points, putting them in 16th with a match in hand.

Real Madrid, meanwhile, have been handed their second defeat of the season. However, they are still atop of LaLiga table with 46 points, eight ahead of Sevilla, who will play Cadiz on Monday. EFE
