Vinicius scores as Real fight back to beat Espanyol 3-1

Madrid, Mar 11 (EFE).- Real Madrid kept the pressure on LaLiga leaders Barcelona with a 3-1 victory over Espanyol at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium on Saturday.

Goals from Vinicius Jr, Eder Militao and Marco Asensio canceled out Joselu Mato’s opener in the 8th minute after capitalizing on a mistake by Eduardo Camavinga.

Real reacted well to come back in the first half and enjoy a calm second period with an eye on the midweek clash against Liverpool in the Champions League.

Vinicius equalized after 22 minutes in a brilliant individual move, before Militao headed in in the 39th minute to put the home team ahead.

Marco Asensio added a third in stoppage time to put Real back on a winning course after two consecutive draws in LaLiga.

Real are six points behind Barcelona, who travel to the San Mames to take on Athletic Bilbao on Sunday. EFE
