The “901 Student Passport” Program Has Been Expanded

CONDADO DE SHELBY, TN (LPL/SCG) — A partir de esta semana, los estudiantes del condado de Shelby se irán a casa con un nuevo “Pasaporte Estudiantil 901”, una tarjeta de bolsillo que les permitirá tanto a ellos como a sus padres visitar distintos museos de la ciudad y sin tener que pagar nada.

El alcalde del condado de Shelby, Lee Harris, inició el programa de “901 Student Passport” durante la pandemia del COVID-19. El programa consistía en dar entradas gratuitas para jóvenes en siete museos asociados.

Este año, el programa incluirá a trece museos/sitios de interés para las vacaciones de verano. Y, en el futuro, las familias podrán usar sus tarjetas activadas para otras experiencias divertidas y enriquecedoras que serán anunciadas por el gobierno del Condado de Shelby y la YMCA a lo largo del año.

SHELBY COUNTY, TN (LPL/SCG) — Beginning this week, Shelby County students will go home with a new “901 Student Passport,” a pocket-sized card that will allow both them and their parents to visit different museums in the city at no cost.

Shelby County Mayor Lee Harris started the “901 Student Passport” program during the COVID-19 pandemic. The program consisted of giving free admission to seven associated museums for the local youth.

This year, the program will include thirteen partners for the program’s free 10-week Summer Staycation. Also, in the future, families will be able to use their activated cards for other fun and enriching experiences that will be announced by Shelby County government and the YMCA throughout the year.
