London, Jun 1 (EFE).- A British court on Wednesday sentenced West Ham’s Kurt Zouma to 180 hours of community service for hitting and kicking a pet cat.
The 27-year-old had pleaded guilty to two animal welfare offences before central London’s Thames Magistrates’ Court
His brother, Yoan, has been handed a 140-hour community service punishment.
The incident occurred in January, when footage of Zouma kicking his cat and chasing it with a slipper was shared by his brother Yoan, triggering a public outcry.
After the incidents, the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA) took custody of his two pet cats. EFE
