Mexican Plastic Artist Marina Lozano Visits Memphis
MEMPHIS, TN (LPL) — Las Escuelas del Condado de Shelby, el Consulado Mexicano de Little Rock, AR y la escuela primaria Belle Forest dieron la bienvenida a la artista Marina Lozano García, quien junto a profesores de artes dieron un taller intensivo de papel Mache, para estudiantes y adultos.
En dos escuelas la artista Marina Lozano dio su taller, aprovechando las fechas de Dia de Muertos utilizo la imagen de las tradicionales catrinas para que estudiantes y padres de familia aprendieran a realizar esta peculiar artesanía.
Originaria de Salamanca, Guanajuato, México, Lozano ha estado activa como artista, principalmente en el centro del país azteca, tomando clases en la capital morelense de Cuernavaca.
En la recepción de las oficinas de la Escuela Belle Forest se exhibieron los trabajos terminados de los estudiantes.
Funcionarios de SCS, Consulado Mexicano y Belle Forest acudieron para ver a las personas participando recibir su reconocimiento por parte de la representante María Aguilar del Cónsul Mexicano Rodolfo Quilantán Arenas.

MEMPHIS, TN (LPL) — The Shelby County Schools, the Mexican Consulate of Little Rock, AR and the Belle Forest Elementary School welcomed the artist Marina Lozano García, who together with art teachers gave an intensive workshop of paper Mache, for students and adults.
In two schools the artist Marina Lozano gave her workshop, taking advantage of the celebrations of Dia de Muertos, using the image of the traditional catrinas so that students and parents could learn how to make this peculiar craft.
Originally from Salamanca, Guanajuato, Mexico, Lozano has been active as an artist, mainly in the center of the Aztec country, taking classes in the capital of Cuernavaca, Morelos.
At the reception of the offices of the Belle Forest School the finished works of the students were exhibited.
Officials from SCS, Mexican Consulate and Belle Forest came to see the people participating receiving recognition from the representative María Aguilar of the Mexican Consul Rodolfo Quilantán Arenas.
