MEMPHIS, TN (LPL/SRE) — El Consulado de México, el Distrito Escolar del Condado de Shelby y la Escuela Primaria Kingsbury abrirán una de dos plazas comunitarias, programadas para servir a la población en Memphis.

Ofrecido a las comunidades de habla hispana, brindándoles la oportunidad de terminar su educación y ser elegibles para tomar el examen de Desarrollo de Educación General o GED, la Plaza Comunitaria se inaugurará el viernes 22 de noviembre de 11 a.m. a 12 p.m. y estará localizada en 4055 Bayliss Ave. Memphis, TN 38108.

Plaza Comunitaria es un Programa de Certificación de Alfabetización Española, Educación Primaria y Secundaria para adultos patrocinado por el Gobierno de México a través del Instituto Nacional de Educación de Adultos (INEA) y la Secretaría de Educación de México. El programa se presentó originalmente y continúa en México, pero ahora se ofrece a las comunidades de habla hispana en el extranjero, brindándoles la oportunidad de terminar su educación y ser elegibles para tomar el examen de Desarrollo de Educación General o GED. El plan de estudios del programa se presenta en línea, video, audio o en forma impresa, proporcionado por el gobierno mexicano. Este programa gratuito le permite al participante asistir cuando sea conveniente y cuenta con la asistencia de tutores capacitados que ayudan con las lecciones. Se presentan evaluaciones periódicas para evaluar el conocimiento y permitir el avance. En un comunicado, los representantes de la escuela amplian la invitación: “La Escuela Primaria Kingsbury está muy orgullosa de proporcionar este programa educativo y nos gustaría que nos acompañen en nuestra celebración”.

MEMPHIS, TN (SRE) — The Mexican Consulate, the Shelby County School District and Kingsbury Elementary School will open one of two community plazas, scheduled to serve the population in Memphis.

Offered to the Spanish-speaking communities providing them with the opportunity to finish their education and become eligible to take the General Education Development or GED exam. The Plaza Comunitaria will open on Friday, November 22 from 11 a.m. at 12 p.m. and will be located at 4055 Bayliss Ave. Memphis, TN 38108.

Plaza Comunitaria is a Spanish Literacy, Primary and Secondary Education Certification Program for adults sponsored by the Mexican Government through the National Institute of Adult Education (INEA) and the Mexican Secretary of Education. The program was originally and continues to be presented in Mexico, but it is now being offered to the Spanish-speaking communities abroad providing them with the opportunity to finish their education and become eligible to take the General Education Development or GED exam. The program curriculum is presented online, video, audio or in print which is provided by the Mexican Government. This free-of-charge program allows the participant to attend whenever it is convenient and is assisted by trained tutors who help with the lessons. Periodic evaluations are presented to test knowledge and to allow advancement. In a statement, the school representatives extend the invitation: “Kingsbury Elementary School is very proud to provide this educational program and would like you to join us in our celebration.”
