Israeli forces kill 2 Palestinians amid clashes in West Bank

Jerusalem, Mar 15 (EFE).- Israeli forces shot dead two young Palestinians amid raids in the occupied West Bank, official sources reported Tuesday.

A 16-year-old was killed and three others were injured during an operation carried out by the Israeli border police at the Balata refugee camp in Nablus.

The boy, identified as Nader Rayan, succumbed to the multiple gunshot wounds he sustained to the head, chest, stomach and hand at the scene, according to the official Palestinian news agency Wafa.

Israeli border police said a Palestinian suspected of terrorist activities was arrested and was found with an M16 assault rifle. Afterwards, clashes broke out in the area and the forces responded with fire.

Another Palestinian, identified as Alaa Shaham, 20, was also shot dead by Israeli soldiers in Qalandiya, north of Jerusalem, the Palestinian ministry of health said.

Six others were wounded there and were transported to a hospital in the West Bank city of Ramallah.

At least 20 Palestinians have been arrested and dozens others injured amid a series of Israeli raids in several West Bank cities, Wafa said.EFE
