La música es parte fundamental de nuestra cultura. Nosotros como hispanos tenemos la ventaja de compartir la amplia diversidad de la música latinoamericana. Boleros, rancheras, cumbias, tangos, son parte de nuestro acervo y debemos alimentar a nuestros niños con las raíces musicales de nuestra cultura.
De acuerdo con las condiciones y aptitudes de cada niño, es muy recomendable que aprendan a tocar algún instrumento musical, y mientras más temprano mejor. Para aquellos que no tengan buen oído musical, hay otras opciones relacionadas con la música. La danza es una de las más divertidas e interesantes. Estimular en los niños su talento artístico es parte de nuestra misión como padres.
Otra opción muy interesante es el canto coral o la participación en grupos folklóricos. Todo lo que contribuya a alimentar el espíritu de nuestros niños se reflejará en su educación y les abrirá las puertas para el disfrute estético.
Los fines de semana suelen celebrarse algunos conciertos gratuitos en nuestra ciudad; una actividad ideal para la familia. Es importante conocer y disfrutar de la música del país donde vivimos. Ritmos como el blues, el jazz, el country, estarán presentes en nuestro presente y nuestro futuro. La música es un lenguaje universal, capaz de romper barreras y generar unión y alegría.

Music is a fundamental part of our culture. We as Hispanics have the advantage of sharing the wide diversity of Latin American music. Boleros, rancheras, cumbias, tangos, are part of our heritage and we must feed our children with the musical roots of our culture.
According to the conditions and aptitudes of each child, it is highly recommended that they learn to play a musical instrument, and the earlier the better. For those who do not have a good musical ear, there are other options related to music. Dance is one of the most fun and interesting options available. To stimulate our children’s artistic talents is part of our mission as parents.
Another interesting option is the choral singing or participation in folk groups. Everything that contributes to feed the spirit of our children will be reflected in their education and will open doors for them to aesthetic enjoyment.
Usually, some free concerts are held in our city during the weekends; it is an ideal family activity. It is important to know and enjoy the music of the country where we live. Rhythms as blues, jazz, country, will be present in our present and our future. Music is a universal language, capable of breaking down barriers and building unity and joy.
